Area of the triangle. = 100/9 sq units

Step-by-step explanation:

x - 2y =0 and 2x + 5y =20

will intersect each other

=> 2(2y) + 5y = 20

=> y = 20/9

x = 40/9

(40/9 , 20/9)

x - 2y =0  will intersect  x axis ( at x axis y = 0)

at  (0 , 0)

2x + 5y =20   will intersect  x axis ( at x axis y = 0)

at (10 , 0)

Vertex  of triangle are  (0 , 0) , (10 , 0) , (40/9 , 20/9)

Area of Triangle

= (1/2) | 0 (0 - 20/9) + 10(20/9 - 0) + (40/9) (0 - 0)|

= (1/2) | 200/9|

= 100/9

area of the triangle. = 100/9 sq units
