Answer:

answer 15

sinQ =12/13=P/H

in right triangle , if p= 12 H = 13 , then by pythagoras theorem

p2 +b2 = h2

(12)^2 +(b)^2= (13)^2

144+( b)^2 =169

(b)^2= 169-144 =25

b =5

therefore

tan Q= P/B = 12/5

answer 16

 formula is used to find the median in a group data which is located in the median class. Median, m = L + [ (N/2 – F) / f ]C L means lower boundary of the median class N means sum of frequencies F means cumulative frequency before the median class.

answer 17

no. of red balls = 25

no. of blue balls = 15

total no. of balls = 25+15=40

randamly drawn a ball

p(red ball) =no. of red balls / total no. of balls

=25/40

=5/8.

answer 18

tan5Q =1

we know that, tan 45 = 1

tan5Q = tan 45

5Q = 45

Q = 45 / 5

Q = 9

answer 19 a. 13 / 125

factor the denominator

125 , 25, 5 ,1 divide continously with 5

its factor , 5×5×5×5

the denominator has factor 5

we know that if denominator has factor 2,5 or 2 or 5 then the number is terminating decimal expression.

hence , 13 / 125 is terminating decimal expression.

b 17 / 8

same as first part a.
