A sum of rs 2700 is made up of 500,100and50 rupee notes. The no of 50 rs note is 2 time no of 100rs note and 4 times the no of 500 rs note. Find no of 500,100and50 rs note

Let the number of Rs 50 note be x .
So , the number of Rs 100 note will be x/2 .
So , the number of Rs 50 note will be x/4 .

Now , Acc. to the question ,

( 50 * x ) + ( 100 * x/2 ) + ( 500 * x/4 ) = 2700
=> 50x + 50x + 125x = 2700
=> 225x = 2700
=> x = 12 .

So , x/2 = 6
and x/4 = 3 .

So , the number of Rs 50 notes are 12 .
The number of Rs 100 are 6 .
The number of Rs 500 are 3 .
