15 points or a lot more. Answer this. Answer should be relevant to 9th Grade Biology Chapter ‘Improvement in food resources’.

What does this sentence mean? Please explain in less intensified words : Tanks are small storage reservoirs, which intercept and store the run-off smaller catchment areas.

The only word I don't understand is, well, ‘catchment areas’. So explain what those are too.

This means that tanks are small man made storage ponds which receive and store the water which comes from catchment areas

Well, catchment areas are low lying areas which get filled up with water when it rains.
Like small ponds in a village or valleybetween two hills.

Please mark brainliest if it helped you! :)
