Given :  The dimensions of a swimming pool are 30 m  long, 20 m wide, and depth 9 m.

1800 kL of  water is already filled in the pool

To Find : a. Find the height of the water in the pool now.

b. How many more litres of water is required to fill  the pool up to a height of 8 m only

Solution:

height of the water in the pool  when 1800 kL of  water is already filled in the pool = h

Volume of Water = 30 x 20 x h  m³

= 600h m³

1 m³ = 1000 L

= 600h * 1000 L

= 600h kL

600h  = 1800

=> h = 3 m

height of the water in the pool  when 1800 kL of  water is already filled in the pool = 3 m

more litres of water is required to fill  the pool up to a height of 8 m only

= (30 x 20 x 8  - 30 x 20 x 3)  kL

= 3000 kL

3000 kL more litres of water is required to fill  the pool up to a height of 8 m only

Answer:

3000 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of water = L×B×H

=20×30×h m³

=600h m³

1m³ = 600h

600h = 1800kl

= 1800/600

=3cm³

b. Volume = L×B×H

Height = 8-3

=5

=600×5=3000
