15/u + 2/v =17--Eq.1
1/u+1/v=36/5--Eq.2
Multiple 15 in equation 2 and subtract from eq. 1
2/v-15/v=17-(36*15)/5;
-13/v=-91;
13/91=v;
1/7=v put this value in eq. 2 or 1;
we get u=5
1/u+1/v=36/5--Eq.2
Multiple 15 in equation 2 and subtract from eq. 1
2/v-15/v=17-(36*15)/5;
-13/v=-91;
13/91=v;
1/7=v put this value in eq. 2 or 1;
we get u=5

Hi ,
15/u + 2/v = 17 ---( 1 )
1/u + 1/v = 36/5 ---( 2 )
multiply equation ( 2 ) with 2 , we get
2/u + 2/v = 72/5 ---( 3 )
subtract equation ( 3 ) from equation ( 1 ),
we get
15/u - 2/u = 17 - 72/5
13/u = ( 85 - 72 )/5
13/u = 13/5
1/u = 13 / ( 5 × 13 )
1/u = 1/5
u = 5 --- ( 4 )
substitute u = 5 in equation ( 1 ) , we get
15/5 + 2/v = 17
3 + 2/v = 17
2/v = 17 - 3
2/v = 14
v/2 = 1/14
v = 2/14
v = 1/7
Therefore ,
u = 5 , v = 1/7
I hope this helps you.
