Srivi Lions Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Srivilliputtur, celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ in a grand manner on Wednesday with a manger crib set up by teachers.
Kindergarten children dressed as angels presented a dance with Santa Claus, followed by a dance by students from Class III to V. The Principal, A. Sudhakaran, spoke about the purpose of birth of Jesus Christ and the presence of Santa Claus in Christmas celebration.
A group of teachers sang Christmas carols. The correspondent, M. K. Mohammed Mohideen, and the president, K. Kumaravel, presided over the celebration.
Students of Viveka Nursery and Primary School, Sundarapandiam, presented a cultural show at the Christmas celebration. Leelavathi, Principal, delivered the Christmas message at the event, which was presided over by Peria Mahalingam, correspondent.
A play on the birth of Christ was the highlight of the Christmas celebration at Green Fields Nursery and Primary School, Watrap. The Principal, Chitra, spoke about the significance of Christmas. Gurubackiam, correspondent, delivered the presidential address. Christmas was celebrated at Linga Global School in Krishnankoil in the company of children dressed as Santa Claus.
