15x + 7y = 29 …… ( 1 )

9x + 15y = 39 …… ( 2 )

from eq 1

15x = 29 –7y

x = 29 – 7y /15 …… ( 3 )

now sub eq 3 in eq 2

then

9[29–7y/15] +15y = 39

261 – 63y + 225y = 585

162y = 324

y = 2

now sub y = 2 in eq 3

then

x = 29 –7(2)/ 15

x = 29 – 14 / 15

x = 15/15

x = 1

Hence the value of x = 1 & y = 2
