As per the given  given question it is a simple mix fraction question

the equation is given as

16\frac{3}{9}  -10\frac{2}{5}

=\frac{(16\times9) +3}{9}  -\frac{(10\times 5)+2}{5}

= \frac{147}{9} -\frac{52}{5}

now the denominator are diffrent hence simplifying

by finding the LCM of (9,5)= it will be 45

\frac{147\times 5}{9\times5} -\frac{52\times9}{9\times5}

\frac{735}{45} -\frac{468}{45}

now the denominator become same hence

=\frac{735-468}{45}

=\frac{267}{45}

now convert to lowest term

both are divisible by 3

=\frac{89}{15}
