16 ÷ 4, do the division by  repeated substraction?

\bf\purple{Answer:-}

16 ÷ 4 = ?

By repeated subtraction,

  • 16 - 4 = 12

  • 12 - 4 = 8

  • 8 - 4 = 4

  • 4 - 4 = 0

Here 4 times when we subtract 4 from 16 we get remainder 0.

∴ 16 ÷ 4 = 4
