The given sequence is said to be in GP if each term is after the first term is multiplied by the fixed non-zero constant which is called common ratio(r).

∴ r = a2/a1 where a2 is second term and a1 is first term

Now given series = 16,8,4,.....

yes , it is in GP with common ratio 1/2
