1) The formation of monsoon troughs is closely related to the radiation balance of the earth atmospheric system during the monsoon.
2) As the monsoon moves across the country , low pressure areas are formed and the winds move across the northern plains.
3) Mountains such as Whestern Ghats and Himalayas in East and North act as barriers and when monsoon winds blow against the hills, they cause heavy rainfall.
