Answer: 44.8 Liters

Explanation:

According to the ideal gas equation:'

PV=nRT

P = Pressure of the gas = 760 mmHg = 1 atm   (1atm=760 mmHg)

V= Volume of the gas = ?

T= Temperature of the gas = 0°C = 273 K

R= Gas constant = 0.0821 atmL/K mol

\text{Number of moles of oxygen}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text {Molar mass}}=\frac{16}{32}=0.5moles

\text{Number of moles of hydrogen}=\frac{\text{Given mass}}{\text {Molar mass}}=\frac{3}{2}=1.5moles

n=  moles of gas = 0.5 +1.5 =2.0

V=\frac{nRT}{P}=\frac{2\times 0.0821\times 273}{1atm}=44.8L

Thus the total volume occupied by the mixture will be nearly 44.8 L.
