Answer:POP is used to support fractured bones which have formula CaSO4.1/2H2O

It is prepared by heating gypsum salt the precaution is that it should be heated at temp 100°C or gypsum will convert into unhydrous calcium sulfate

Sweet tooth led to tooth decay as the bacterias fed on the sweet and then release acid and pH of tooth becomes less than 5.5 and the tooth decay

Toothpastes are basic in nature so they neutralise the acid released

On heating Gypsum at 373 K Plaster of Paris is formed.

CaSO₄. 2 H₂O    ⇒ CaSO₄. 1/2 H₂O + 3/2 H₂O

Special precaution :

We shouldn't heat gypsum above 373 K else it will not form.
