16 mats are required to completely cover the floor of a hall.each mat is 8m long and 4m broad.what is the area of the floor of the hall?

area of one map = 8 x 4 = 32

area of floor

= area of 16 maps

= 16 x 32

= 512

Given that,length=8m
Breadth=4m
So the area of a mat =8×4m²
=32m²
The floor requires 16 mats to cover the floor.
So the area of the floor =32×16m²
=512m²
