Answer:

its very easy

just follow me -:

1 17(2-x)-5(x+12)/1-7x=8

first. of all remove the brackets

and multiply the nos. in the parenthesis by the whole no. outside it

2 17×2-17x-5x-(5×12)/1-7x=8

3. simplify the equation as -:

34-17x-5x-60/1-7x= 8

now solve by transposition of terms in LHS in the denominator to RHS and multiply

4 the equation is:-

34-17x - 5x -60=8(1-7x)

solve:

34-60-17x-5x= 8(1-7x)

= -26-22x = 8 - 56x

= move the variable such that it becomes positive

so move -56x to LHS

Now ,

56x-22x = 8+26

34x = 34

x= 1
