SOLUTION:-

→ x²-2ab+2ax-bx=0

→ x²+2ax-2ab-bx=0

→ x (x+2a)-b(2a+x)=0

→ (x+2a)(x-b)=0

→ x+2a=0 and x-b=0

→ x=-2a and x=b

Hence, the two factors of the given equation are -2a and b.

I hope this will help you friend.

Given:-

  • x² – 2ab + 2ax – bx

To find:-

  • Factorise the following.

Solution:-

According to the question

→ x² - 2ab + 2ax - bx

→ x² + 2ax - 2ab - bx

→ x(x + 2a) - b(2a + x)

→ (x + 2a) (x - b)

→ x + 2a and x - b

x =- 2a and x = b

Hence,

  • the two factors of the given equation are -2a and b.
