◍ Here, the question has given us the principal, rate of interest and time that is Rs. 2,400, 15% per annum and for 3 years respectively. Now, the question has asked us to find the simple interest of it. So to get the amount first of all we need to find out the simple interest for that we simply have to apply the formula of SI. After it we have to add the principal and the SI to get the amount.

ANSWER:-

◈ Simple Interest = Rs. 1,080

◈ Amount = Rs. 3,480

➢ SI = 2,400 × 15 × 3 / 100

➢ SI = 2,400 × 45 / 100

➢ Cancelling the zeros.

➢ SI = 24 × 45 / 1

➢ SI = 24 × 45

➢ SI = 24 × 45 = 1,080

➢ SI = Rs. 1,080

The simple interest is of Rs. 1,080.

  • Finding the amount:-

➢ Amount = 2,400 + 1,080

➢ Amount = 2,400 + 1,080 = 3,480
