Actually, Smita wanted to a fulfil her brother's last wish to attend the concert. So she thought that she would request Pandit Ravi Shankar to play the sitar at their house so that her brother Anant could be happy

Answer :- Smita's brother Anant was bedridden due to cancer. He had a desire of hearing the great sitar maestro (master), Pandit Ravi Shankar's performance . But, he couldn't . There was a concert by him and Anant was longing to hear him . Smita felt bad that her brother couldn't hear his concert . Hence, she went to the concert and requested Pandit Ravi Shankar for the same. Hearing this, he and his friend, Ustad Allah Rakha came to their house and performed. Anant was in the heights of his happiness . Smita fulfilled the wish of her brother in a nice way.
