rate of simple interest per annum is of 6% in one bank and that of 7% in other bank; after
2 yrs., if she gets 1280 in total as interest, then let us write by calculating, the money she
had deposited separately in each of two banks.​

Principal = x

Time = 2 years

Rate = 6 percent

S.I. = 6x/50   [1st ]

Principal = 10000 - x

R = 7 percent

Time = 2 years

S.I. = 7*[10000-x]  [ 2nd ]

ie,

    6x/50 +70000-7x= 1280

since,

   6x +70000 - 7x = 6400

Therefore,

               x = 6000

10000- x =

10000 - 6000 = 4000
