Answer:

Sum of 3 person ages is 150 years Now their sum 10 years ago will be 150 - No. of persons * years ie 10= 150 - 3*10= 120

Calculating value of 1 ratio (Unitary method) = 120/7+8+9= 120/24= 5

Their original ages 10 years ago 7*5 = 35, 8*5= 40, 9*5= 45

Their present ages are as follows 35+10= 45, 40+10= 50, 45+10= 55

Let the ratio constant be 'x'.

Therefore, the ages are 7x , 8x and 9x .

Now,

since these these ages are of ten years ago.

Therefore 10 years will be added to these 3 persons.

7x + 10 +8x + 10 + 9x + 10 = 150

→ 24x + 30 = 150

→ 24x = 150 - 30

→ 24x = 120

→ x = 120/24

→ [ x = 5 ]

→ 7x + 10 = 5 × 7 + 10= 45

→ 8x + 10 = 5 × 8 + 10= 50

→ 9x + 10 = 5 × 9 + 10= 55

Therefore the present ages of the three persons are 45 years, 50 years and 55 years.
