Answer:

\frac{-3}{5} and \frac{2}{7\\}

Conditions For a Number To Be In its Standard Form:

  • Its denominator should always be positive
  • The HCF of the numerator should be 1. Basically the Rational number should be in its lowest form.

Detailed Answer:

\frac{-27}{45}    the denominator is already positive. So that is not a problem for us.

But however the Numerator and Denominator have a common factor which is clearly 9.

So we divide numerator and denominator by 9.

\frac{-27/9}{45/9}  which will give us \frac{-3}{5\\}.

\frac{-14}{-49\\} the denominator is negative. So to make it positive, we must multiply the rational number by \frac{-1}{-1} which would give us \frac{14}{49}

Now clearly the HCF of numerator and denominator have a common factor which is clearly 7.

So we divide numerator and denominator by 7.

\frac{14/7}{49/7}  which will give us \frac{2}{7\\}.

Thank you,

Hope it Helps.
