20 = y - x

x - y + 20 = 0      [ Let this be Eqn 1 ]

x = y - 20

Also,

From this equation we can derive,

y = x + 20

Now,

Substituting the values of x and y in the equation in order to verify the equation 1 :

( y - 20 ) - ( x + 20 ) + 20 = 0

y - 20 - y + 20 = 0

0 = 0

Hence,

x = y - 20  

y = x + 20
