17x-23y=52, 23x-17y=28 solve the equation ​

17x-23y=52..................(i)

23x-17y=28..................(ii)

from equation (i)

x =  \frac{52 + 23y}{17}

from equation (ii)

x =  \frac{28 + 17y}{23}

by comparing eq. i and ii

 \frac{52 + 23y}{17}  =  \frac{28 + 17y}{23}

529y - 289y = 1196 - 476

y = 3

so, x = 121
