from equation (i)

$x = \frac{52 + 23y}{17}$

from equation (ii)

$x = \frac{28 + 17y}{23}$

by comparing eq. i and ii

$\frac{52 + 23y}{17} = \frac{28 + 17y}{23}$

$529y - 289y = 1196 - 476$

y = 3

so, x = 121
