let total no. of coins of denomination of 1, 2 and 5 be x, y and z respectively.

Given

x + y + z = 60..................eq.1

x + 2y + 5z = 120............eq.2 and

y = 2z

solving eq 1 and 2 we get

x + 2y + 5z = 120

x + y + z = 60

______________

y + 4z = 60

2z + 4z = 60

6z = 60

z = 10

then y = 2 x 10 = 20

from eq 1 we get

x + 20 + 10 = 60

x = 30

therefore

total no. of 1 coins = 30

total no. of 2 coins = 20

total no. of 5 coins = 10
