Given expression,

18\%4000 + 19\%20000

We have to find out the value of 18\%4000 + 19\%20000

As we know that,

percentage means divide by 100.

So given expression becomes,

  = \frac{18}{100} \times 4000 + \frac{19}{100} \times 20000

By Dividing 4000 and 20000 by 100 we get,

 = 18 \times 40 + 19 \times 200

 =7 20 + 3800

By adding we get

 = 4520

Hence,

The value of 18\%4000 + 19\%20000 is 4520 .

To solve : 18\ \% of 4000 + 19 \ \% of 20000

Solution :

  • To solve the above expression we will follow BODMAS rule.
  • It is the rule used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.
  • where,

        \begin{array}{l} \\B= brackets\\\mathrm{O}=\text { order of powers or rules } \\\mathrm{D}=\text { Division } \\\mathrm{M}=\text { multiplication } \\\mathrm{A}=\text { addition } \\\mathrm{S}=\text { subtraction }\end{array}

  • According to above rule we will solve .
  • 18\ \% of 4000 + 19 \ \% of 20000

       = \frac{18}{100} \times4000 + \frac{19}{100} \times 20000\\= 18 \times 40 + 19\times 200\\=720 + 3800 \\=4520

Hence , value of expression  is 4520.
