On March 2, 2018, Mahindra Automotive North America unveiled the Thar variation Roxor for the US market at its assembly plant in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It is assembled from a complete knockdown kit. Unlike Tar, Roxar is not a street legal, but is placed side by side with an off-road vehicle with a top speed of 45mph. The Roxor is powered by a 2.5-liter turbo-diesel 4-cylinder engine with 62hp and 144lb-ft torque and is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. It is only available with two seats, a 148-inch body length and a 96-inch wheelbase.
