19. A body of mass 500g collides
against a wall with velocity of 10m/s
and rebounds with same speed. Its
change in momentum is:
O (a) 10 kg m/s
O (b) 100 kg m/s
O (c) 0.5 kg m/s
O (d) 1000 kg m/s

Answer:

Hope it helps you...

Explanation:

1000g = 1kg

500g = 0.5kg

ΔP = 2mv

     = 2 x 0.5 x 10

     = 10 kg m/s

To Find :

  • we need to find Momentum of body

Solution :

  • Mass of body = 500g
  • Velocity of body = 10m/s

Change in Momentum (p) =2× Mass(m) × velocity(v)

changing 500g into kg

500g = 500/1000kg

500g = 5/10

500g = 0.5kg

Change in Momentum = 2× 0.5 × 10

Change in Momentum = 2 × 5kgm/s

Change in Momentum = 10kgm/s
