19. The velocity of a particle moving along x-axis
varies with time as v = At2 + B, where t is in
seconds and A = 2 ms-3 and B = 5 m/s. The
magnitude of average acceleration during t = 0 to
t= 5 second is
(1) 20 m/s2
(2) 15 m/s2
(3) 10 m/s2
(4) 5 m/s2

Answer:

Using the equation,

t = d/vr

We have,

3 = d/v1+v2

2.5 = d/1.5v1+v2

Solving we get,

v1 = 2d/15 and v2 = d/5

When they are going in same direction

,

,vr = v2 – v1 = d/15

Thus, t = d/vr = d/(d/15) = 15 s
