1900-x=700(5-y)and x=60y solve these linear equation

Hii friend,

1900 - X = 700(5-Y)

1900 - X = 3500 - 700Y

X-700Y = 1900-3500

X-700Y = -1600...(1)

X = 60Y....(2)

Putting the value of X in equation (1)

X -700Y = -1600

60Y - 700Y = -1600

-640Y = -1600

Y = -1600/-640 = 800/320 = 5/2

Putting the value of Y in equation (2)

X = 60Y

X = 60 × 5/2 = 30 × 5 = 150.

Hence,

X = 150 and Y = 5/2
