1In a right-angled AABC, right-angled at B,

if the ratio of AB to AC is 1:/2, then find

the values of

i) 2tan A /
1- tan^2 A

and
ii) 2tan A /1+ tan^2A

By Pythagoras theorem, we have

AC2=AB2+BC2

⇒(2x)2=x2+BC2

∴tanA=ABBC=xx=1

we have,

1+tan2AtanA=1+121=21
