Answer:

600 J

Explanation:

Given

Mass of the body m = 2 kg

Force applied F = 6 N

Coefficient of kinetic friction μ = 0.1

Initial velocity u = 0, time t = 10 s

By Newton’s second law of motion acceleration produced will be a

a 1 = F/m = 6/2 = 3 m/s

Frictional force is given by f = μ m g

                                              = 0.1 x 2 x 10 = - 2 N

Now acceleration produced by frictional force

                                         a 2 = - 2 / 2 = - 1 m / s^2

So total acceleration of the body will be a1 + a2

                                                        = 3 + (-1)

                                                          =  2 m/s^2

Distance travelled is given by

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

= 0 + 1/2 x - 2 x 10^2 =  100 m

Now work done by applied force will be W = F x s

                                                                       = 6 x  100

                                                                      =   600 J
