Hi There!

(2^-1 × 4^-1)/(2)^-2

= (1/2 × 1/4)/(1/2)^2

= (1/8)/(1/4)

= 1/8 × 4

= 1/2

= 2^-1

Answer:

( {2}^{ - 1}  \times  {4}^{ - 1} ) \div  {2}^{ - 2}  \\  =  \frac{ \frac{1}{2} \times  \frac{1}{4}  }{ \frac{1}{ {2}^{2} } }  \\  =  \frac{ \frac{1}{2} \times  \frac{1}{4}  }{ \frac{1}{4} }  \\  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{1}{4}  \times 4 \\  =  \frac{1}{2} \\ = {2}^{-1}
