(\sqrt{2})^{2}  + (\sqrt{3})^{2} = 5\\2+3=5

AS square of root 2 = 2 and sq. of root 3 = 3.

[(2)½]² + [(3)½]² =5

2 + 3 =5

5=5

hence proved!
