2/3 Of a number is 20 less than the original number.

Let the required number be x.

\bf\underline{\underline{ᴇQᴜᴀᴛɪᴏɴ~ ᴍᴀᴅᴇ:-}}

 \frac{2}{3} x = x - 20

 \frac{2}{3}x - x =  - 20

(By transposing)

LCM of 3 and 1 is 3

 \frac{2}{3} x -  \frac{3}{3} x \:  =  - 20

 -  \frac{ x}{3}  =  - 20

(The minus sign(-) from both sides will be cancelled)

x = 3 \times 20

(By transportation)

x = 60

Hence, the original number is 60.
