Let the number subtracted be 'x'.

Then,

3/5 - x = 2

So, x= 3/5 - 2

Taking L.C.M

x = (3–10)/5

x = -7/5

Hence the no. -7/5 should be subtracted from 3/5 to get 2

3/5 - (-7/5) = 0.6-(-1.4) = 2. (3/5 = 0.6, 7/5 = 1.4.
