HEY, FRIEND! HERE IS YOUR ANSWER.
______________________________

 \frac{2}{3} (y - 5) - \frac{1}{4} (y - 2) = \frac{9}{2} \\ or \: \: 8(y - 5) - 3(y - 2) = 54 \\ or \: \: 5y - 36 = 54 \\ or \: \: 5y = 90 \\ or \: \: y = 18

2 \div 3(y - 5) - 1 \div 4(y - 2) = 9 \div 2 \\ 2y \div 3 - 10 \div 3 - y \div 4 + 1 \div 2 = 9 \div 2 \\ 2y \div 3 - y \div 4 = 9 \div 2 + 10 \div 3 - 1 \div 2 \\ 8y - 3y \div 12 = 27 + 20 - 3 \div 6 \\ 5y \div 12 = 44 \div 6 \\ y = 44 \div 6 \ \times (12 \div 5) \\ y = 88 \div 5
reqd Y= 88÷5
check,
