Given :  Annapurna suppliers sold construction materials of Rs.  4.40,000 to Angel suppliers making 10% profit and  adding 13% VAT.

To find : VAT amount to be paid by  the  constructor

Solution:

Material Cost = 440000 Rs

10% profit = (10/100) 440000 = Rs 44000

Total Cost = 440000 + 44000 = 484000 Rs

13% VAT =  (13/100) 484000 = 62920  Rs

Anget suppliers spent Rs. 5.000 for  transportation cost

Total Cost excluding VAT = 484000 + 5000 Rs

= 489000 Rs

10 % Profit = (10/100)489000 = Rs 48900

Cost = 489000 + 48900  = Rs 537900

13% VAT  = (13/100)537900 = Rs 69927

Rs 69927 VAT to be Paid by contractor

He would pay Rs. 82446.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Price = Rs. 440000

Rate of profit = 10%

Vat = 13%

So, Amount after VAT would be

440000\times \dfrac{130}{100}=572000

Amount after adding profit would be

572000\times \dfrac{110}{100}=629200

So, Angel suppliers spent Rs. 5000 as transportation cost :

629200+5000=634200

So, Vat amount should be paid by the constructor would be

634200\times \dfrac{13}{100}=82446

Hence, he would pay Rs. 82446.
