If the image's answer is wrong then I solve it
2/3x -1 = 1/12
=> (2-3x)/3x = 1/12
=> 3x = 24-36x
=> 3x+36x = 24
=> 39x = 24
=> x = 24/39
=> x = 8/13

the question is absolutely correct and the answer is 8/13 . if there's no bracket then its obvious that its 2/3x not 2/(3x-1)
