Total mass= 4g
Mass of Mg= 2.4g
Mass of O= 4-2.4g
=1.6g
% of Mg= 2.4/4 ×100
= 2.4×25
= 60%
% of O= 1.6/4 ×100
=1.6×25
=40%
Hence proved.
