2(4x-5) = 6x-2

=> 8x-10 = 6x-2

=> 8x-10+10 = 6x-2+10

=> 8x = 6x+8

=> 8x-6x = 8

=> 2x = 8

=> x = 8/2

=> x = 4

Check:-

2(4x-5) = 6x-2

By substituting x = 4

=> 2(4×4-5) = 6×4-2

=> 2(11) = 24-2

=> 22 = 22

So, value of x is 4
