2. A hollow spherical bowl has a radius 14 cm. Find its volume. and lateral surface area​

To Find :-

  • Volume
  • Lateral surface area

Solution :-

Volume of sphere = 4/3 πr³

↬ Volume = 4/3 × 22/7 × 14³

↬ Volume = 4/3 × 22/7 × 14 × 14 × 14

↬ Volume = 4/3 × 8624

↬ Volume = 11498.66 ( approx )

Volume of spherical bowl = 11498.66 cm³

Lateral surface area = 4πr²

↬ LSA = 4 × 22/7 × 14 × 14

↬ LSA = 4 × 22 × 14 × 2

↬ LSA = 2464

Lateral surface area of spherical bowl = 2464 cm³
