Hi there here is your answer:-

hope it helps you

Let the positive number be x

Then the other number=5 times x=5x

When 21 is added to both the numbers the numbers becomes=

x+21 and 5x+21

Now, according to the question:-

5x+21=2(x+21)

5x+21=2x+42

5x-2x=42-21

3x=21

x=21/3=7

Therefore the the first number=7

The second number=7*5=35

Answer:

The first number is x=7 and second is 5x= 35

Step-by-step explanation:

let the positive number is x

so another number is 5x

if we add 21 to both then one new number became twice of another new so 2 ( 21x +x) = 5x + 21

42 + 2x = 5x + 21

42- 21 = 5x- 2x

7 =x

5x= 7×5= 35

if we add 21 to both then

7+21=28 (x)

35+21=56 (5x)
