2) A purse has 1 rupee and 2 rupee coins in it. The no.of 2 rupee coins is one-third the no.of 1 rupee coins. If the purse has ₹115, find the no.of 2 rupee coins.

Let no. of 1 rs coins be x
Therefore, 2rs. coins would be x/3
Total money= ₹115
Now,
Total money= No. of 1 rs. coins* 1rs+ No. of 2rs. coins*2rs
₹115=x*1+x/3*2
₹115=5x/3
115*3/5= x
69 = x
We have ₹1 coins= 69
and ₹2 coins= 1/3*69=23
