Let total no. of people = x

No. of adults = x/4

No. of children = 60+(x/4)

= (240+x)/4

By the data,

(240+x)/4 + x/4 = x

(240+2x)/4 = x

240+2x = 4x

4x - 2x = 240

2x = 240

x = 120.

So, total no. of people = x = 120

no. of adults = x/4 = 120/4 = 30

Pls pls mark as the brainliest. I really need it to get to the next level. pls pls pls

Answer:

Let us suppose total no. of people be x.

No. of adults = x/4

No. of children = x/4 + 60

=> x/4 + x/4 + 60 = x

= 2x/4 - x = -60

= -2x/4 = -60

= x = -60 X 4/-2 = 120

Therefore, no. of adults are 1/4 X 120 which is equal to 30.
