Which field has a larger area

★solution:−

square:

side of square=60m

formula used for area:

(side)^2

area of square=(60)^2

=3600m^2

formula used for perimeter:

(side)×4

perimeter of square=4(60)

=240m

rectangle:

length=80m

let breadth=B

formula used for perimeter:

2(l+B)

perimeter of rectangle=240m

equation for Breadth:

240=2(80+B)

=>240/2=80+B

=>120-80=B

=>B=40

Breadth=40m

formula used for area:

L×B

area of rectangle=80×40

=2400m^2
