2. Adjacent sides of a rectangle are 7 cm and 24 cm. Find the length of its diagonal.

Given:-

  • AD = 7cm.
  • AB = 24cm.

To find:-

  • Diagonal or DB.

Formula to be used:-

\huge \fbox \blue{H²=P²+B²}

This is called Pythagoras theorem.

Solution:-

\implies DB² = AD²+AB²

\implies DB² = 7² + 24²

\implies DB² = 49+576

\implies DB² = 625

\implies DB = √625

\implies DB = 25cm.

Hence, the value of diagonal is 25cm.
