Answer:

CONVEX LENS

v+u=45

v=45-u

hi/ho=2

v/u=2

45-u/u=2

45-u=2u

3u=45

u=15

since u is always negative

u=-15

v=45-(-15)

=60cm

1/f=1/v-1/u

1/f=1/60-1/-15

1/f=1/60+1/15

1/f=1+4/60

1/f=5/60

f=60/5=12cm

therefore the object is 15cm from the optic Centre of the lens

and focal length of the lens is 12cm
