number of boys = 2x/3

rest are girls .so no. of girls = x- 2x/3 = 17

= (3x-2x)/3 = x/3 = 17

= x= 17 x 3 = 51

1)so no. of boys = 2x/3 = 2(51)/3 = (2 x 51)/3 = 2 x 17 = 34

or total no. of students - no. of girls = 51-17 = 34

2)total strength = x = 51
