If direction is changed but magnitude is same as before, the magnetic field will only change in its sense of motion. That is, if a current 'I' is flowing through the wire out of the plane towards the observer, then magnetic field lines will go in the anticlockwise sense. But if the direction of current is reversed, that is, current is going into the plane away from the observer, then the magnetic field lines will go in the clockwise sense.
